Bob Greene's The Life You Want

If your not ready to change your mindset and "flip the switch" mentally, in regard to making changes in the way you look and feel, your results will simply be less significant compared to those who are in fact able to change their thinking process.

Exercise Physiologist, Bob Greene's new book, The Life You Want, offers the tools you need to break the barriers and be successful with weight loss. He has teamed up this time with Ann Kearney-Cooke, Ph.D and nutritionist Janis Jibrin, MS, RD and they offer some great tips for weight-loss, including how to cope with emotional eating and how to stay motivated to eat healthy and exercise consistently. They also offer data on successful weight-loss studies (i.e. NWCR) and have a 12-week fitness plan to help anyone who's struggling to lose weight.

I enjoyed the chapter on finding and understanding the issues that can help you "rewire your brain" and in turn help you consume less sugar, fat and salt in your daily diet.  Jibrin offers a 9-step plan to help in this area including step #7 - how to manage your triggers.

The Life You Want: Get Motivated, Lose Weight and Be Happy
